We use a combination of traditional and computer based animation techniques, mixing 2D and 3D elements to create distinctive personalities for our clients and their brands. The majority of our work is for television and cinema advertising, but we also undertake projects for Internet and multimedia use, for broadcast design and film and television production. We also regularly create 2D and 3D illustration for print, web and outdoor use. If you have a project you think we can help you with – and we probably can, we’d love to hear from you.
Case History: The making of an animated TV ad
We thought this might be interesting. A blow by blow account of how we made our recent spot for Sleepyhead Beds. We chose this particular job because in making it, we used a wide range of 2D and 3D techniques, as well as incorporating live action, and in many ways this piece typifies our eclectic approach to creating animation. 3D illustration for web & print

As well as animation work, the DMG studio also undertakes illustration projects for advertising and publishing clients for use in print, outdoor and interactive/on-lime communications. You can see some recent examples here…
If you are one of the countless millions who lie awake at night all over the world, wondering just what Linds, Dan and Kiri are up to, you can now follow the adventures of New Zealand’s hardest working little animation studio live on Twitter. www/twitter.com/MoGraph
Latest work for Fonterra

Our latest project is for NZ dairy giant Fonterra’s innovative new sport water product “Whole”. This complex animation project was completed as a co-production with Hollywood visual effects studio FusionCI. Find out more here…
New DMG Showreel
We have finally got around to compiling a new showreel. Our old one was tragically out of date, but it’s been a busy couple of years, and we just haven’t had the time until now. You can watch a short montage online here, and a full reel on DVD will be available soon. If you would like one call us on (09) 377 2692 or drop Kiri an email.
